Registration is usually open in June and the festival is held on the first weekend of November.

Guest Artists/Instructors

Joshua Messick, Dana and Hank Gruber, Joe Collins, Shannon Kelly, Eimear Arkins, Mary Jo Ward, Martha Richard  and Lorinda Jones. Workshops are offered for Mountain Dulcimer, Hammered Dulcimer, Mandolin, Ukulele, Celtic Harp, Penny Whistle, Banjo, Fiddle, Guitar, Harmonica, Bowed Psaltery, Native American Flute, and the Musical Saw.
 
Members of the Heartland Dulcimer Club who are instructing include:  Ed Briand, Marcia Burklov, Debby Couch, Jim Davis, Betty Grusy, Beckie Henry, Heidi Hess-Bynum, Paul Leach, Norma Olivencia, Glenda Patterson, Dave VanderMolen and Carolyn Warren.

Concert-The Public is Invited!
 
The 2019 Concert of the Stars will feature our guest artists and the Heartland Dulcimer Club and Chorus.  The concert begins at 7PM with the doors opening at 6:30PM.  Tickets are free but suggested concert ticket price is $10.  Tickets may be obtained in advance from club members (also included in the registration packet) or separately at the door.  The concert is filmed live and audience members are a part of the 25th Anniversary Celebration.  The concert begins with a tribute to our veterans, followed by a performance of the Heartland Dulcimer Club and Chorus, our guest artists and then a finale with all club members and artists.  This is an event you do not want to miss!

Fee Schedule

The cost for the entire festival is $75.  This includes the Friday night jam sessions, Saturday workshop classes, lunch, a 25th anniversary celebration and concert on Saturday evening.

Consignment Table

The Heartland Dulcimer Club offers a “supervised” consignment table for your gently used or no longer needed musical instruments or other related items. To help sustain the festival, the club retains 10% of the purchase price. (Email Norma Olivencia for details at jnolive@bbtel.com).

A lunch is included in the cost of the festival see the registration form for details. 

Instrument Rental

Instruments may be rented in advance ($10/instrument) for the workshops through the pre-registration process (no rentals on-site unless done through pre-registration). 

Lodging/Campgrounds

A block of rooms has been reserved for festival attendees at the Ramada Inn at 205 Commercial Drive for a special rate of $85 (plus tax) per night. Call 270-769-9683 by October 1st to reserve a room and mention the Heartland Dulcimer Festival to get the special rate. The Elizabethtown Crossroads Campground (Good Sam Park) is located close to the festival at 209 Tunnel Hill Road. Call 1-800-975-6521 for reservations.

Vendors

Vendor spaces are available for a $20 fee. Use the vendor registration form below to register. Meals are available for vendors if ordered in advance.
