Guest Artists/Instructors for the festival include:

Bing Futch, John and Karen Keane, Carol McClure, Julia Purcell, Steve and Ruth Smith, Janelle Canerday, Martha Richard and Lorinda Jones. Workshops are offered for Mountain Dulcimer, Hammered Dulcimer, Ukulele, Celtic Harp, Penny Whistle, Banjo, Fiddle, Guitar, Harmonica, Bowed Psaltery, Vocal Music, Native American Flute, as well as Marimbula and Musical Saw demonstrations. Friday, November 2nd:

Fee Schedule

The HDC Fest is sustained by the generous donations of its attendees. We welcome any donation, but has placed a suggested value of the 5 workshops, jamming, vending and concert at $50. Meals are priced separately.

Consignment Table

The Heartland Dulcimer Club offers a “supervised” consignment table for your gently used and no longer needed musical instruments or other related items. To help sustain the festival, the club retains 10% of the purchase price. (See the registration form for more information).

Meet and Greet with the Guest Artists/Instructors

The Heartland Dulcimer Club offers the option of a meal (catered by Olive Gardens, $25/person) with the Artist/ Instructors at 6p on Friday evening at the church prior to the jam sessions. (See the registration form for more information and must be registered by October 24th).

Saturday Lunch and Dinner Options

An optional lunch and dinner are available for those ordering/registering prior to October 24th. Meals are available only if ordered in advance. There are also restaurants close to the festival location. (See the registration form for lunch and dinner options).

Instrument Rental

Instruments may be rented in advance ($10/instrument) for the workshops through the pre-registration process (no rentals on-site unless done through pre-registration). (See the registration form for details).


A block of rooms has been reserved for the festival attendees at the Ramada by Wyndham at 205 Commercial Drive for a special rate of $81 (plus tax) per night. Call 270-769-9683 to reserve a room and mention the Heartland Dulcimer Festival to get the special rate. The Elizabethtown Crossroads Campground (Good Sam Park) is located close to the festival at 209 Tunnel Hill Road. Call 1-800-975-6521 for reservations.
